Please take this as an informative article for a matter which should be of interest to us all.

As you should be aware,there are local elections due next May,which will determine how we on the coast are treated for the next several years.

The current administration has not treated the coast well,we provide over half of Orihuela's income but receive about 20% back,and this is a chance to increase our representation on the council to hopefully redress the balance.

I have no intention of giving any advice on who to vote for,just that the more that vote after full consideration of each party's manifesto,the more chance we will have of getting fair treatment.

To vote you need to have the following,

Have your Residencia,

Be registered on the Padron and then register to join the election roll at the Townhall.

Please help to get us a better deal.
