Dear owners:
Following our recent communication regarding the feeding of stray cats, we would like to provide some further clarification.
First of all, we would like to thank those owners who have contacted us and shared their views and suggestions. After discussing the matter with several residents and with the President of the Community, we believe there is a better way to address the situation.
The intention of our previous email was not to prevent the care of the community cats, but rather to address the problems caused by food being left in different areas of the urbanisation. Unfortunately, this has resulted in complaints due to food remains, hygiene concerns and the attraction of insects and other animals.
For this reason, we would like to explore the possibility of creating a small group of volunteer owners to help organise the care of the community cats in a responsible and coordinated way.
The idea would be to:
- Establish a single, agreed feeding point.
- Ensure the area is kept clean.
- Coordinate feeding in an organised manner.
- Explore the possibility of working with the Town Hall in relation to the management and sterilisation (as we've done in the past) of the colony.
If you would be interested in joining this volunteer group or helping in any way, please send an email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it., or WhatsApp at +34 722 743 510. We have already received offers from owners who are willing to help by caring for the cats or contributing towards the cost of food, and we believe that, by working together, we can find a solution that respects both the welfare of the animals and the wellbeing of all residents.
Thank you very much for your cooperation.
Kind regards,
Ainhoa
Estimados propietarios:
You need JavaScript enabled to view it. o un mensaje de WhatsApp al +34 722 743 510.
Ainhoa
Community Update from the President
Dear owners,
Please find below a quick update on the current matters affecting the community:
Town Hall
Despite several requests, we are still awaiting a response from the Town Hall regarding:
- Installation of a new plastic recycling bin.
- Replacement of the broken traffic mirror.
- Repainting of the faded "No Entry" road sign.
- Approval to permanently clear the small green area.
We will continue chasing these matters. In the meantime, the small green area has at least been cleaned and tidied.
Electrical Box – Calle Venezuela
We are pleased to confirm that the damaged electrical cabinet on Calle Venezuela has now been repaired and the issue has been resolved.
Large Green Area by the Mailboxes
Despite numerous requests for the area to be cleared, reinstated and for the doors to be replaced, we have repeatedly been advised that this is privately owned land and therefore not the responsibility of the community.
Following the completion of the new property opposite, we have recently been informed that the builders are hoping to carry out the necessary works during July or August. We will continue to monitor the situation.
Street Cleaning
The next scheduled street cleaning is expected to take place in early August.
If you notice any other issues within the community that require attention, please report them to Amarmat Consulting, our community administrators.
Thank you for your continued cooperation.
Chris Ford
President
